Hmmm .. haven't tried writing any jounal entries before... so here goes :

Damn... I'm a in the midst of a bloody important examination....school that is. Kinda regret slacking the past 2 years away....Now alot hinges on this one big exam. Damn. they should change the system. Rote learning and all that shit does NOT work. Nuff.

Anyway, been experiencing sum weird stuff lately. Ok, not just lately, but for the past few months - or actually for as long as i've begun noticing.

Maybe it's not that weird? I dont know, but....................

Lemme ask u this question first : When a coincidence happens, it can be shrugged off as a coincidence.. no biggy... BUT, what do call a continuous string of coincidences?

The coincidences i'm talking about : thinking or doing something about something and hearing or observing the same something happening moments or days later, in the form of a myriad of things, situations.

Sounds confusing?
Ok, lemme give u a few examples to show u what i really mean:
For example, 3 weeks ago i was talking to Willie(my best friend. NO, he's not dick, but a real person!) about the human brain and the possibilities. Spent a long time talking about the subject and that i need more technicalities to prove my theories(an i can't believe i actually rambled on the subject!!). The following day, when i stepped into the tv room , the program that happened to be showing on Discovery channel was about the human brain. (1) That evening , the newsweek magazine that arrived had the cover article about the brain (2)

ok,u might shrug it off.
Another one : The night before the Chinese Oral examinations .. I had 1 hour of preparation.. Happened so that within that one hour the content and words of an article that i read came out the following day in the exam I had. (3)

ok, u can probably can shrug it off as a miracle from God, which i believe it was?

Another example : Last week, i happened to watch half of American Beauty from a download. I really liked the show, but i was frustrated because the complete download would have taken forever. The following Sunday, HBO screened American Beauty. (4) So i watched it. ;P

hmmmm.... these are just some of the "coincidences" I can recall clearly now, but if these are just the few, these coincidences must happen pretty darn often...

Common coincidences would include me thinking and humming a tune and finding the same tune being played on the radio at the same time. These, i can shrug off , as with those people related coincidences - like meeting same person, knowing same person, etc... cos afterall, its Singapore! haha ... how big can this place get ?

All this makes me wonder.. whether subconciously, our minds can perceive or even influence future events... events that we physicially cannot possibily have an influence on. Sounds improbable? Well i have gotten technical yet.. My curiousity lies in whether is this all really true?
That perhaps either through God or through our minds, we either perceive or influence the future without our knowledge. Prob more on the perceiving bit, cos things like TV programme schedules and exams are set way before hand.. but that still doesn't strike off the idea of us influencing them in some metaphysical way?.....

If it's all just in my imagination ,then it can only mean 2 things. 1) Im freakingly blessed by God or a higher being (which is true, even if u don't relate it to this whole subject i'm talking about) or 2) I'm really lucky or something that these "coincidences" just keep happening because i'm the "1" in statistics of 1 in a million or wateva..

Im guessing its a combination of all of the above. In that case, it's still possible that my mind maybe doing all this at a certain level which im not conscious of. Something like a pseudo psychic ability kinda thing.
Still sounds improbable? Say, if i have a thought. It sends out a very small signal from my brain (which is scientific fact, that our brain emits faint signals) .. this small signal interacts with the environment.. it sets off a transmissions which is then amplified and as it multiplies , it eventually forms a reaction on the opposite end ( i.e something comes to pass.) Take the vice versa of this same process, for me acting as the receiving end for future events. Fairly possible..though improbable ...

Bottom line is, there are many things that i can't understand -all these coincidences etc... BUT maybe this is just the beginning? I'm thinking it has something to do with "Quantum level thinking" . Maybe empathy isn't soo much a character trait after all!

Oh man..... I can't believe I rambled soo long about that.
